In the context of Japanese sauna and bathing culture, it denotes the process of warming the body through temperature and humidity regulation, facilitating relaxation, detoxification, and the relief of physical and mental fatigue. "Totonou" encompasses the pursuit of overall mental and physical health and harmony, and it is believed that lighting design can promote the creation of environments conducive to achieving this state. As people's lifestyles and spatial arrangements rapidly evolve, there is a multifaceted consideration of how lighting design can contribute to achieving a state of "totonou."
